What benefits can a sensory bin offer my child?
Very Simple! A sensory bin helps develop play skills, language and nurtures a child's innate ability to explore and experiment.
Before starting, we need to think about age appropriate and "location appropriate" fillers for the sensory bins. For example, a water bin would not be recommended for indoor use but would be perfect for outdoors.
Here are a few awesome ideas for a toddler's party:
1- A kinetic sand bin stimulates children's creativity because the texture is between sand and play-doh. This makes it highly moldable and it sticks to itself, not to you!

2- Bin with water beads - Relieves stress and softly massages your skin. The beads absorb over 100 times their weight in water to form glass-like pearls that slowly release water back into their environment.

3- When it's hot outside there's nothing better than to explore ice. Let's have an arctic ice activity! Add a little water to the bins and a lot of ice cubes. If your kiddo loves cars, dinosaurs, or any other small toy, you can freeze them inside the cubes!

4- If your child loves to treasure hunt, fill the sensory bin with shaving cream and hide toys underneath! This is an all time favorite for kids...and adults!

5- Farm animal washing station - Fill one bin with dirt and farm animals and another bin with soapy water and tooth brushes. You will be amazed at how entertaining this is for little kids. After all, dirt and kids were meant to be!
